Honestly, those things are the biggest challenge. The equipment? Well, that's secondary. The truth is that you can take a great photo with a decent phone. That makes photography hugely accessible, which is brilliant, but it takes a lot more than that to take a great photo.
If you learn how to capture those perfect moments... understand light and composition... and then on top of that have great equipment that you're able to control... well, that's when wonderful things happen!
We love photography of all kinds but here are just some examples of what we've done:

We love photography of all kinds but here are just some examples of what we've done:
PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY (in-situ)
Studio photography is essential to get really clean shots with controlled parameters. But often, especially with consumer goods, it's more important to show the products being used in a real-world scenario. Here you can see some shots that we set up for Unforgettable, who source products for those living with Dementia.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY (studio)
It's often really important to get pristine, clean shots with uniform lighting so that they can easily be cut out and used in whatever context is needed. The great news is that, if your products are relatively small, a mini studio can be set up anywhere (even at your office).

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY (thinking outside of the box)
When it comes to using photography as content (for example on Instagram), you need something that's going to immediately grab people's attention and make them go lol or "wow". Here are a few examples of having fun with a product;
The Nintendo Classic Mini; using a real-world scenario to show just how small the product is, in a way that makes people smile.
Halloween: creating pumpkin versions of Nintendo Classic Mini and the Nintendo Switch logo in a spooky setting.

NATURAL WORLD & INCIDENTAL
There are many companies for whom their 'product' is actually the natural world, the setting in which they are based or genuine images of people enjoying themselves in those settings. Whether it's a zoo, a tourist attraction, a National Trust estate or something else, capturing the natural world and people's reaction to it is something we absolutely adore.
